The ones who know

October 7, 2011 § Leave a comment

It’s one goodbye, or one hello,
one more yes, or the final no

It happens once and never again
or gets reversed

It’s like a birth into another world
but one you know

A mother dies, a lover cries,
the child brings his wife home
You just then know

The radio never plays your song
a friend never picks up his phone
You just then know

And if you, still young, know too much
about moments of such
just get along, before turning old.
