The Beginning of Spring

March 1, 2012 § 2 Comments

The spring gives promises while on her way to us:
I’ll be warm, I’ll be sweet, I’ll blow your mind…
Our heart beats in her rhythm. Hope.
We interpret everything in her language:
Frühlingsmüdigkeit, Frühlingsgefühle, Frühlingsputz…
In her bed we lie weeping in anticipation;
last time she loved us was so good, but long ago.
With no doubt every winter is a Russian winter
before the beginning of Spring.
