Night Lies

There’s the night lying
next to my bed and lying:
Tonight you’ll sleep well.

I try not to think
of Mondays, of yesterdays,
and the missed voices.

Shadows take over
step by step fragile bodies
move and talk like them.

We are sleepwalkers,
looking for a place where safe
we can stay awake.
